My head and heart are in constant conflict, They pass me messages difficult to decrypt. When the heart wants to philosophize, The head wants to theorize and rationalize. I try to intervene, to find a middle ground, To reach a result and resolution that is sound. But, its impossible to convince them both, Sometimes it seems, they, each-other loathe. When the heart says speak, the head says stop. When the head says go, the heart says drop. When the heart says sleep some more, The head reminds of all the chores in store. When the heart says dance in the rain, Head reminds of times spontaneity ended in pain. When the heart says- make a new start, Head warns not to put the horse before the cart. When the heart says take it easy, The head begins to make me queasy. When the heart says there is one life to live, The head instructs to measure take and give.
